dr shu kee lam is a senior lecturer in climate change and biogeochemistry. his research focuses on soil carbon and nitrogen dynamics in agroecosystems, including soil-plant interactions under climate change (elevated atmospheric co2 concentration) and mitigation of direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions using enhanced efficiency fertilisers e.g. urease and nitrification inhibitors and controlled release fertilisers. he also has expertise in global data synthesis such as meta-analysis. he has authored and co-authored over 90 peer-reviewed publications, including pnas, global change biology and global environmental change. he has been successful in securing funding from the australian government (australian research council, australian centre for international agricultural research), industry and international sources. he is an editorial board member of plant and soil, and a recipient of the icm agrifood award by the australian academy of technological sciences and engineering, the ipni scholar award by the international plant nutrition institute, and the publication medal of soil science australia.
